Relay Teaching Residency Louisiana

At Relay, we are on a mission to ensure that all students are taught by outstanding educators. Our vision is to build a more just world where every student has access to outstanding educators and a clear path to a fulfilling life.

Our approach to training teachers and principals is unique and begins with a curriculum rooted in pedagogical theory and evidence of what works best in our schools. Our programs emphasize practices that have the most significant impact on student learning and development.

The AmeriCorps Relay Teaching Residency Louisiana (ARTRL) will serve historically marginalized students through our high-touch teacher preparation service program in New Orleans. Members will be: responsible for increasing academic performance for 900 K-12 students; licensed to subsequently serve as full-time teachers of record; and poised for certification and Master’s degree towards a career improving educational and life outcomes for local students in under-resourced, communities of color.
